Placed in the heart of the lovely town of Gargnano at the Lake Garda.
La ‘Casa della pianista’ was once home to a musician, who was known as the “piano playing lady”. That’s where the name came from and established itself, when the owners family, who used to be living in Villa, bought the house in 2003.
A few years of planning, designing and dreaming followed, to then arrive to finishing the house in the summer of 2010.
Karla, a Gargnano local, and Kerstin, owner of the house, started hosting families, friends and guests in 2012. Kerstin spends her summers in Gargnano and still loves sharing her families’ little paradise ever since..
Bookings and check-in are made directly through her. During low season months there will be a self-check-in available.
The location is ideal, placed right in the heart of the lovely town of Gargnano, with a little beach just in front of the house. The harbour is 3 minutes walk away in one direction. Another bigger public beach, with facilities as volleyball field, kids playground and bar/pizzeria, lies 5 minutes in the opposite direction.
The street is very calm and quiet, as it is not a main road, there are free parking spots all around the house.
The place
La casa della pianista was renovated in 2010 and has been accomodating guests from all over the world for over a year now. Sharing this beautiful "peace of heaven", as one of our guests called it, is a pleasure and all the compliments we got, we can only give back. We hope to welcome you in Gargnano too, someday.
Direction
Those arriving by plane will most likely be landing in either Milano Bergamo or Verona. From there it’s the easiest to take a train to BRESCIA or DESENZANO, where direct buses to Gargnano leave.
Gargnano
Is often described as a little ‘gem’ on the lake. Not too busy, a little more laid back, than other towns... and lovely to visit.
There are some beautiful shops (“Piccole Idee”), great bars for breakfast (“Il Baccaretto”) and three (!) restaurants with a Michelin star.
Lago di Garda
Lake Garda is home to 25 picturesque villages, rich with historical monuments, castles and fortresses.
The best way to visit these nice towns, is by taking the boat (battello o aliscafo), directly from the harbour.
The weather
The Mediterranean climate makes Lake Garda a place where the weather is just perfect. Warm in summer and mild in winter, thanks to the protection of the Alps from cold winds.

Every apartment offers a small kitchen, a TV and WiFi.
Everything needed for a pleasant stay is available or can be organised by us upon request.
Torri
All the apartments were recently redone, so everything is new and clean. The house is located directly on the beach, so the apartment TORRI has two windows facing the lake, It is very quiet and peaceful.

On Lake Garda there is a lot more than Pizza and Pasta! Protagonist of the cuisine is the fish of the lake. You absolutely need to taste the delicious fish dishes and olive oils, honey, excellent wines, cheese, the famous tortellini and many other traditional products.

Calling it a lake is sometimes a bit limiting, it would be fair to consider it a sea in the mountains because this is the feeling you get when looking at it: in any direction, you turn your eyes, you can not find limits, but an extraordinary variety of landscapes.
